The Town of Mayodan welcomes businesses of all sizes to consider locating in the community.  There are opportunities for entrepreneurial/small business development in our historic downtown along Main Street and 2nd Avenue (Business US 220).  If you are looking for a strip shopping center area we have two traditional shopping areas along 2nd Avenue South near the border with Madison.  In addition, there is a large shopping center complex at the intersection of NC 135 and US 220 that includes a Lowe’s Home Improvement, Wal Mart, Cato shoes, a Goodwill store, and other smaller stores and restaurants.

Industrial development opportunities include both building redevelopment sites and “greenfield” development sites.  Mayodan works closely with the Rockingham County Economic Development and NC Department of Commerce to provide great opportunities for industrial companies.
