Leaf pick up season is in full swing. The team began pick up on November 1st and will continue through January 31st.
They began on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Avenue and have progressed to Madison and Jefferson. Next stop is Main Street and Adam Street then Washington Street, Washington Street Ext, and Roosevelt. They will end this week with Wray, Cemetery, and Taft Streets then Turner, Coleman, Mountain and Walter. The week of Thanksgiving will complete the first tour through Mayodan with Long Street and Boles Street then Ayersville Street completing the circuit. Once completed the team will start the circuit again after the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Once the circuit is completed, the team will start the process again. Please rake your leaves to the curb and ensure the piles are free of debris, sticks, and trash. These items can damage the machine and cause delays in providing leaf pick up service.
