Water Treatment Plant

The team at the Mayodan Water Treatment Plant is responsible for providing the citizens and industries in the Town of Mayodan with clean drinking water. The Mayodan Water Plant is capable of producing over 3 million gallons of clean water.

The Town of Mayodan provides water to the Town of Stoneville and is part of an interconnected system with the Town of Madison. This interconnection is important emergency management feature that helps protect both Towns from droughts and other emergencies ensuring that clean water is available when disasters strike. The Mayo River is the source of water for the Town of Mayodan while the Dan River is the source of water for the Town of Madison.

The staff of the Water Plant are highly trained and educated to provide the necessary testing and quality controls, which ensures that the Town’s water meets the high standards of North Carolina and the Federal government.
