It ensures you’re informed about what’s in your water, how it measures up to safety standards, and who to contact for more information.
GreAT tRAILS sTATE iNITIATIVE GRANT
We’re thrilled to announce that the Town of Mayodan has been awarded a $251,185 grant from the Great Trails State Initiative to develop a 4.8-mile natural surface trail at Farris Memorial Park! This exciting project will create a shared-use trail for hikers and mountain bikers, designed to IMBA standards and accessible for all ages and skill levels.
Once complete, it will double the park’s current trail mileage and elevate Mayodan as a regional outdoor recreation destination. The trail is expected to be completed over the next 3 years, and community involvement will play a key role in bringing it to life. This is more than a path through the woods — it's a path toward healthier living, stronger community, and greater access to nature for everyone.
